Cynical?

Let’s get the elephant out of the room first, now, this is my opinion, or a few of them, but they’re based on experience, actions, and words.

Danielle Smith is an evil cow, a traitor to Alberta, a traitor to Canada, and an all around garbage human being. Thing is, she’s never really pretended to be anything else, sure, she lies and breaks promises, but that’s nothing new, that was the package she presented. As much as it’s concerning that she won anything, she was already well known as a terrible person.

The same can be said for Pierre Poilievre, he’s been a squawking imbecile since he was a Reform Party coffee boy, he’s been a member of parliament for over 2 decades with 0 accomplishments – I guess you could point out he got Trudeau tossed, but really, Trudeau never lost an election, he retired undefeated, and now he’s dating a pop star. Guy gets some crazy life breaks, but he also worked hard, got educated, and made a really, really good name for himself globally – Pierre shitting on his face constantly left some Canadians less approving, but propaganda over that length of time will have that effect.

Anyway… Danielle Smith and Pierre Poilievre are trash humans incapable of being useful to humanity, they’re a waste.

Kenney is a completely different kind of animal.

Jason Kenney, another Reform Party graduate, is a very strange animal – he’s intelligent, he understands the way the world works, he understands what people want, and he understands things well enough to discern correctly what people would be willing to accept, and what things they won’t. He’s used this to get himself elected, first federally, and then provincially – that’s the thing with Kenney, he knows exactly how to make an impression that gets votes.

Kenny is not stupid.

However, when elected in Alberta, the first thing he did was pass a bill to out LGTBQ+ kids to their parents – he was SO happy when that passed, the UCP MLAs participated in a “Friends” style dance in the fountain outside the legislature – they danced in the fountain, in front of the fountain, they whooped and hollered and laughed – hurting kids made them happy. It didn’t get better from there, it was an assault on health care, education, libraries, poor people, LQTBQ+ people, the planet, everything.

When he’s not in power, he knows right from wrong, and points out things that are wrong.

When he IS in power, he gleefully does all the bad things that he likes to point out when he isn’t in power.

Jason is a person who very much knows right from wrong, he understands people, and he can form a cognizant argument on most subjects, but he, given the opportunity, will choose the path he’s pointed out as wrong.

Poilievre and Smith are certainly evil, but they’re the clueless kind of evil, they don’t believe they’re wrong, as much as they’re rarely right, they feel like they’re on a righteous path, they think they do good, and have good intentions. Or at least, good as they see it. They’re not good, but they’re not nearly as duplicitous as Jason Kenney is.

Kenney knows he’s an evil fucker, and he’s gleeful about it – he very clearly puts a lot of thought into the charade, and he’s always been clear about the whole right and wrong thing, he just chooses to do the wrong thing every chance he gets, even when he frequently chastises others and points out why what they’re doing is wrong (it’s not so much he has a problem with wrong, he wants to be the one doing it).

So yeah, even now, Jason Kenney is still by far the worst of the “conservatives” (in quotes, because none of the people who run for conservative parties now are actually conservatives, it’s a shit mix of Reform and Wild Rose types, who take inspiration from Social Credit, a party the PCs wiped off the map, more fire and brimstone Old Testament fear of god in ya hateful christians, not conservatives)

Jason Kenney is an extremist reformer – if he hadn’t been brainwashed by Harper and Manning into being the kind of guy who hurts people for fun – people like himself, for the record, Kenney is a silly, chubby gay man with a sense of glee and joy – without the brainwashing, he probably would have been a beloved dance teacher, an acting teacher, a high school drama teacher, he might have been someone that people (normal people who don’t buy into hate) look up to. Instead, he’s a cruel lunatic.

But never, ever mistake him as stupid – he’s evil as fuck, but he’s one of the smartest people in most of the rooms he’s been in. Not the smartest, but one of. If he was just a little smarter he might have realized what he was doing was pathetic and turned over a new leaf, but he didn’t.
